GET TO KNOW #WATCHWESLEY

Minimal Design, Maximum Impact

Bria Wesley is driven to influence change in the world of sports.

As a freelance sports journalist and producer, she has a passion for creative storytelling and isn’t a stranger to risk-taking within the digital landscape– impacting how all communities digest sports.

Her previous stint at NBC Sports as a production assistant propelled her the ability to cover (breaking news, live-event and specialty-show editing) a range of sport properties: Premier League, NASCAR, Tokyo & Beijing Olympic Games. She scored her first Emmy for Outstanding Interactive Event Coverage, producing and editing Peacock’s first Team USA daily recap show during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Her diverse experience extends from her collegiate career at Florida A&M University (FAMU), where she received her B.S. in Broadcast Journalism. Bria has interned at WCTV, the local CBS affiliate in Tallahassee, Fl as a news & sports Intern. At FAMU, she was the sports anchor for the TV station, NEWS-20. Also, she hosted a jazz & soul show at FAMU’s radio station WANM 90.5, where she bridged the gap between several eras of music. Lastly, she served as a correspondent and producer for the Sirius XM show "FAMU Now."

Outside of storytelling, she enjoys swimming, writing poetry and volunteering in her community. It's not foreign for Bria to not only service her community locally, but globally as well. During a study abroad venture in 2016, she taught English to children in Costa Rica.

One of her favorite quotes to live by is, “Being the best is great, you're number one. Being unique is greater, you're the only one.”
